How TO PLACE A BOOK ON HOLD

Holds may be placed for materials that are either CHECKED OUT OR ON THE SHELF.

  • Go to the library home page -- http://www.sunywcc.edu/library
  • Click on SEARCH WCC Catalog, then click on User Information.
  • For User ID/Barcode enter Barcode on ID card or your Social Security number, for Verification enter last name, Log On.
  • Basic Search: Title or Author, Go.
  • Click on Title. Availability - All Items.
  • Click on Request. You will see the hold request. Press Go.
  • Under due date you should see the word Requested If not, call the library at 914 606-6965.
  • If the hold request is for a book that is on the shelf, you will be notified to pick it up within 24 hours, or the book will be reshelved.
